Protocol Translation
MDDL provides the common operational picture between Air, Ground, Sea and Space systems by translation of their existing data link standard into a common format and then repositioning the format and communications method into one used by the accepting system. Data Links and Formats processed and translated include; Link-16, JVMF, OTH Gold, AIS, CoT, NATO NFFI, ADEM, NVG, IBS (partial), CD-2, PTT, GPS Tracking tags, Microsoft and other files attached to tracks, PTT, Full motion Video, Shot detectors, Laser designators, Seismic detectors and other data links and sensors. An interface to the F-35 MADL data link is also available.
